Be careful when visiting the area of St Laurent du Maroni, as it is near Suriname border and attacks are not rare. That's what some people in camps said...

	We went first in Acarouany, Hmong village between Mana and St Laurent. You can stay there in a guesthouse, which is an old leper-house. We collected, on the road between Iracoubo and Mana, grasshoppers with blue wings where they were numerous.
Another quiet place is the guesthouse near Voltaire falls, 75km far from St Laurent (hard trail…). Nice rooms but more expensive, both for rooms and food. Trapping was profitable there, same for mothing, on the trail 3km far from the guesthouse.
